About the Journal
The Revista Ciencias de la Actividad Física UCM only considers, for its publication, unpublished articles and research results aimed and oriented at enriching scientific knowledge in the field of physical activity and sports sciences.
REVISTACAF.UCM organizes the articles by categories:
"Research" Category: It considers the articles that are the product of an investigation. They must have a methodology that is in agreement with the research problem.
"Theoretical Review" Category: It considers articles that are the product of approaches to educational problems from a theoretical position with clear arguments in order to deepen on the implications and proposals that develop reflection and criticism.
REVISTACAF.UCM, has a continuous periodicity with semiannual cuts.
The journal will permanently publish the articles received as long as all editorial processes have been completed. The months of June and December of each year will be the cut-off months for each new issue, that is, at the end of June and the end of December the issue will be closed with all the articles finished in each of those periods and will begin, immediately, the compilation and publication of the articles for the following issue.
REVISTACAF.UCM, receives articles throughout the year.
Open access policies
This journal provides immediate and free access to its content, based on the principle that providing open access to the public, leads research to a greater global exchange of knowledge.
The publication in the “Revista Ciencias de la Actividad Física UCM” does not impose any cost on the authors (Charges for Article Processing)
About The Software

Digital preservation policies
The Revista Ciencias de la Actividad Física UCM utilizes formal mechanisms to ensure the long-term conservation and digital preservation of all its published content. The journal is integrated into the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN), which uses the LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) system to create a secure and permanent archive among participating libraries. Furthermore, all published issues are periodically backed up on the institutional servers of the Universidad Católica del Maule.
