Evaluación de la fuerza de salto vertical en voleibol femenino en relación a la posición de juego

Abstract

The purpose of the research was to assess the anthropometric aspect and the strength of vertical jump The purpose of the present study was to assess the anthropometric aspect and the vertical jump force in relation to the playing position of players from the adult women’s volleyball team at Club Deportivo Aleman in Concepcion by means of the application of a test battery performed on a contact platform. The study is descriptive and transversal. The sample was selected with a non-probabilistic approach and consisted of 12 players that were grouped according to playing position; outside hitter (n=6), middle blocker (n=2), libero (n=2) and setter (n=2). To verify the significant differences between groups for each variable a single factor ANOVA and the Tukey test (p <0.05) are used. No significant differences were found in the anthropometric aspect in relation to playing position. The collective performance in vertical jump force is lower in all tests when compared with other studies. Significant differences were found in the CMJ and ABK tests, in relation to playing position.
